TOKYO - Kirishima continued to impress in his return to ozeki at the Summer Grand Sumo Tournament, staying undefeated and taking the outright lead with his victory over former sekiwake Oho on Friday.
The Mongolian-born ozeki, back at sumo's second-highest rank for the first time since May 2024, finished Day 6 at Ryogoku Kokugikan arena as the only wrestler with a spotless 6-0 record after joint overnight leader Kotoeiho was beaten by fellow rank-and-file grappler Ura.
