SAN DIEGO, California - Yoshinobu Yamamoto pitched six innings of two-run ball to earn his eighth win of the season as the Los Angeles Dodgers routed the San Diego Padres 15-3 on Saturday.

Yamamoto (8-5) allowed five hits, including a solo homer, and two walks, while striking out four at Petco Park.

Fellow Japanese star Shohei Ohtani collected two singles to finish 2-for-5.

In other Major League Baseball action, Seiya Suzuki delivered a go-ahead, two-run home run, his 12th of the season, as the Chicago Cubs beat the Milwaukee Brewers 8-2.

In the fourth inning, Suzuki went deep for the second consecutive game and finished 2-for-5 with two RBIs at American Family Field.

"I was a bit late on the pitch, but I made good contact, so the ball stayed fair and carried," the Japanese slugger said. "Even when I'm feeling good, sometimes the hits just don't fall, but today I was able to drive that one well."

Elsewhere, Masataka Yoshida hit the first leadoff homer of his MLB career in the Boston Red Sox's 4-1 win over the New York Yankees.

Batting leadoff as a designated hitter, Yoshida delivered his second homer of the season, finishing 2-for-3 with an RBI at Fenway Park.
